London from the south side of the Thames: Bird's-eye view: panorama: Illustrated London News

Illustrated London News, London, 1861

A very large ( 56 by 23 inches overall) panoramic view of London from the south of the Thames, published as a supplement with the Illustrated London News for September 9 1861.

The panorama shows shows London from Millbank to St. Catherine's Dock with St.Paul's Cathedral in the middle distance, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament on the left and Bethlehem Hospital in the foreground.

This is one of the most attractive of the large London panoramas, drawn by Thomas Sulman. Image size 52 by 17 inches (excluding captions). A few faint vertical creases otherwise an excellent copy.
