Four volumes, large quarto (12 x 9.5 inches) illustrated with 3 maps and 72 engraved plates (2 double-page}. Nicely bound in contemporary half tan morocco with matching cloth sides, all edges gilt, spines dull, some minor signs of use to covers.

Note that the text has been revised for this edition but the plates are unchanged re-issues of those in the 1846 edition.

Some occasional light foxing otherwise a nice clean set in an attractive binding of this well-illustrated county history.
