An imperfect copy lacking pp 17-24 and 51-54 in the first part and pp 14-22 in the second and the last two leaves, presumably the index. Title page and a few other leaves with minor worming, last two leaves of the Table to the second part slightly defective, apart from these faults a very clean copy.

Printed mostly in black letter. First published in 1577 the book ran through several editions all of which are rare. A very early gardening book of great charm and character.
